Reflections are always darker than the real thing. You might try reducing the exposure in the clouds a tad to see if you can bring our some detail there.

Ah, so that's where that is! Looked at it on maps for years, never knew it had its own island. Thanks Russ.

The trick for this shot, if I remember right, is to show up toward the end of the summer when the water is down. I've been back when the Loch was fuller and didn't find the "floating rock" but in my usual fashion I showed up right before sunset and didn't have time to wander around. Here's another from there:
Here's the beta - It's behind Alice up Fall River road. This time of year the road, check that, the 4x4 rattle your molars loose trail is closed. I've skied up there a few times a couple of miles but never all the way to the Loch. The image is from Google Earth. I'd still like to give it another try with you and Charley though!

Really makes me want to go there, Russ. I'd call that a successful image.

Very nice shot. Looks like a very nice place to visit some day. Any fish?

That's a lovely spot where you carfted a first rate composition. Hope you can revisit again and again for more favorable conditions.

Love the reflection and the clouds really add some drama to the image. Very nice!

Yup, like it a lot more. Make you a deal, when the road opens back up me, you and Charley can head up there and see what we can get.
Here's one more from there:
