From a fishing trip weekend in Aug of 09. Hebgen Lake is somewhere around 10 miles northwest from West Yellowstone. It's in "Big Bear" country, so I had to make sure I had my spray with me.

Whatcha think? All comments and suggestions appreciated.

Harold

Nice one Harold - is it a little too sharpened ? ...

The over-shapening comment relates to the area between the fog and the reflection of the fog. It looks pixelated... or is it just chop on the water surface creating that? Might try to denoise that area. You also might experiment with lightening the areas of the hills where no detail is visible. This might be a great B&W shot.

Thanks guys for pointing out the over sharpening. I missed it for sure. Bob some of what you are seeing is a slight chop to the water. I've never seen this lake flat calm unless you are out in the middle of it. Here is a re-work version.. Any better?

Harold

Cant seem to post the re-worked one, anyone have an idea why?

I really like the disturbance of the water in the middle of the image. Best part of the image, if you ask me.

Nice shot, Harold! I sure like how that pier is isolated by the rippling waters.
Doesn't look oversharpened to me, and I wouldn't mind seeing just a hint more detail in the mountains.

Really nice mood and light. The middle part looks a little disconnected to me, too.

Great color! Really like the clouds and the dock on the right side of the image.

Harold, I really love the fog and the dock. The ripples are also very cool.
