McAllister Creek Gull
I was out looking for Dave Bostock at Nisqually on Sat. the 19th. Cold and windy in the morning and not much bird activity. I was out by McAllister Creek on the new boardwalk around 11 am and caught this gull flying into the wind.
iso 400, 1600th sec, 600mm plus 1.4X, f5.6, D700, 25% of orig frame

Nice one, David. Great skill on your part for the flight shot and the clarity of the bird's face. Like the sense of motion, too, with the bit of blur in the wings. Gotta give some credit to the D700, also; personally, I've never been able to do large crops until the D700. Good on you both.
