CS5 Windows 7 64 bit
I have a simple Action that fills a Mask with black, picks a selection, contracts and feathers the selection, and then fills it with white.
This Action works every time on a "plain" layer mask when I launch it by pressing its Function key (aka Shortcut keys) combination.
When I try to launch it with its Function key combination on an Adjustment layer mask, however, sometimes the Function key combination works and sometimes nothing happens at all.
If I try to launch it on an Adjustment layer mask by pressing the Play Selection symbol in the Actions pallet, it works every time.
What's wrong, folks? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I'm no computer expert at all, in fact I can hardly work a DVD control, but I have noticed with some software, (windows is all I have used so the software is operating through that) occasionally an application in the software doesn't always work properly in shortcuts or other wise. If there is no issue by using the path your describing I'd just put it down to a quirkiness in the combination of the( brand such as HP) computer itself, your main running software ( say Windows XP) and the CS software. If it is an issue hopefully someone will have the answer to question here. Otherwise you mist try CS tech support online.
