This forum is for the discussion of the various issues we have to deal with moderating the NPN forums and galleries. If you have any issues you would like to bring up, please feel free to post them here. If you are uncertain about posting a topic, feel free to send me an email to discuss.

I think this "back channel" for communication about the site will prove invaluable, but only if it can remain confidential as you intend.

Yes this is good to have. I was moderating at Birdphotographers.net and they had one, and it worked out well as a behind the scenes place to discuss any issues.

Thanks for setting this up, Jim. I agree that this foum will be of benefit to discuss the ins and outs of moderating and other issues and/or concerns.

Ditto to the thanks Jim. I would also echo Hank's concern question about keeping this confidential. I'm assuming you're using some sort of access control list? In other words, no one but the list of people you specify can even see the "Classroom 8" link in the pull down? I'm sure you got that part covered.

Lon, exactly!

The way the private forums work is that I have to enter user names in a field on the admin panel for each private forum. Only those users will see (1) the forum listed and (2) see any content.
