I don't usually post links to my blog posts here but I thought some of you might find this one interesting and useful. I bought Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 the day it came out and have been experimenting with it since. It's far more powerful than version 1 and just as easy to use.
Today I published a post on my blog titled "From Color to Monochrome with Nik Silver Efex Pro 2". It's a step by step demo of how I used SEP 2 to convert a color image of a false hellebore plant to black and white in 10 minutes. I'll be posting more of these demos on my blog in the future, including demos of Viveza 2 and Color Efex Pro 3.0. Hope you enjoy it!

I saw this on your blog earlier Bret and made a permanent bookmark...great explanation on how to use Silver Effects Pro! Thanks for showing us how.
Thanks so much, Jack and John. I'm glad you guys liked the post. It's the kind of stuff I look for when I'm trying to figure out how to use new software so I thought there might be others looking for it, too.
BTW, for those attending the RMNP Spring Fling in Moab: I'll be doing stuff like this at the mid-day classroom session.
