After reading the 'Mentoring' thread I wondered if private messaging capability would be a good thing for NPN?
The old NPN BBs software had it, and I believe it was used quite a bit. I think it would be handy for mentoring, if that came to be, and for members to communicate regarding purchases from other members.
So, there are two questions:
1. Would it be useful, and do we want it?
2. Can this be done from a technical and financial standpoint?
I'm just thinking out loud--as usual. Your, and Jim's, thoughts will be appreciated.
Speaking from experience on other fora, I don't really miss it as an alternative to emails. Emails tend to catch up with me in a more timely manner, and most PM software includes some provision to notify recipients that they have a PM anyway. Just cuts out the middleman to go directly to emails.

You gotta quit thinking out loud - my head hurts!
I have to agree with Steve and Hank, email works fine, lasts long time.

Either you have sensitive ears, or a hangover.
E-mail would work for me, as well, but I just wanted to broach the subject to see what folk's thoughts are.
