Hi guys - I have noticed in the past week or so, a real up tick in the quality of critiques posted on M&N as well as image quality. Many new people yes. I have started to send "Thank You" emails to some of the people on M&N who have been making very thoughtful comments and critiques on M&N. Some of these same people are also contributing in Landscape. Here is my basic message.....

"Hi XXX - I just want to commend you on the quality and thoughtfulness of your critiques on NPN in M&N. This is what NPN is all about. Thanks! Eva"

I think public commendation is a great idea, as it draws attention to the good critiques.. and maybe more people will start to give similar ones.

I too think this is a great idea. I'll keep an eye out for critiques of mention.

On a related note: As you all know, I am not a prolific poster of images for critique, but I decided some time ago to try to reach and maintain 10 critiques per image that I post. I must say, that to do it right--make meaningful comments--takes time and effort. I applaud those who are able to do this, and more, day in and day out. Your efforts make NPN the great place that it is!
