Painted Hills, Oregon
Canon 1D IV, 500mm f/4, 1/50sec @ f/11.
I took Friday off an motored over to the Painted Hills. It's been a while since I've been there, and never in the cold. I was hoping for a light dusting of snow, but got a bit of frost instead. I love picking apart this area. I brought the 300 and 500 along just in case, and am sure glad I did. I came away with a number of shots with both lenses. Fortunately there was almost no wind, so setting the big lenses up on the tripod and shooting at f/11 wasn't a problem.
Comments and critiques appreciated.
Thanks,

Another very nice Painted Hills image David. The frost really works well here. I like how it brings a color to the scene (white) that we don't usually see here.
