I post almost entirely on the Avian Gallery. With the rains being more than usual this winter, I heard that the wildflowers should be pretty good this spring. Any suggested Southern California locations recommended? Thanks.

Or should I post this topic on the landscape forum?

The anza borrego desert should be pretty good, but I'd probably ask the CANP regional forum!

Anza Borrego State Park posts an update on the flower situation. You can find it here: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=638

Theodore Payne Foundation has a weekly hotline, that covers the state pretty much mostly So Cal. As for personal observations. The AV Poppy preserve surrounding area is spotty at best and rapidly fading. No grand color vistas this year. Cold and windy spring I think killed the bloom. Same story for the Owens Valley, although the Red Rock Canyon Area and over towards Randsburg and the Trona cutoff from 395 showed very nice color mostly yellow.
