Hi everyone! I was hoping some of you could give me some advice on some good places to go for wildlife pictures in North Dakota.

My dad is going out there on business this weekend and I get to come! We probably will only have time for one or two half-day outings but I'm so excited to see this area of North America and hopefully some of the local wildlife.

Do you have any suggestions for places to photograph birds or bobcats or just about any other animals?

We will mostly be traveling through the state on the way to MN on I-94 but I'm hoping we could take a detour for some wildlife if there's a good spot along the way.

Thank you so much!

I'd consider a detour to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Probably a decent chance for animals and its got some good badlands type scenery.

Near the Minnesota border any little country road should take you past some of the small ponds and lakes that dot the area. Might be a few of the early returning geese there.

Check out any of the dams along th rivers and you might see some bald eagles feeding.

Have a great trip!!

Thanks, Darren! I'm really excited about it even though it's not very long. I've only ever been on the West Coast and the Rocky Mountain States so this will be new for me.

Thanks again...
