Almost Tulip Time
For all of you floral photographers, it's time to think about dusting off the lenses and getting ready for this years crop of tulips. Two of the local farms in the Portland area are preparing to open. The Wooden Shoe Tulip Fest in Woodburn (45 min south of Portland) opens March 25th (admission charge this year.)
The Holland America Tulip Festival in Woodland (30 min north of Portland) opens April 2nd, smaller then Woodburn with a nice display garden for photographers.

This red tulip was a favorite from last springs images.

Canon 7D, canon 100mm macro, F/2.8 +0.5 1/250 ISO 100

Great image, Craig. The OOF background adds to the overall scene nicely. Yes, looking forward to Spring.

Cool shot Craig. I really like the yellow highlights on the edges of the rose petals. Thanks for the info on the tulip farms. Hopefully I will make it out there this spring.
