smokies update thursday april 6th

Tremont is early with dogwood blossoms opening - not gonna be a great year - estimate 2/3 gone straight to leaf with most old favorite scenes sub par - go find some new classics I guess - too much to hope for 2 bang up years in a row

Little River has peak redbuds and a few dogwoods - sarvis are at peak along the river in spots only

wakerobin look good very fresh

Thanks for the info Nye, I'm going to ride down tommorow and Sunday and look around a bit, probably hike some along Porters Creek, then come back down in a couple weeks when everyone else is

Thanks for the bad news Sadly, I even just purchased a used LF lens so I could get the shot I missed out on last year. I'll keep my fingers crossed til my dates get closer and then decide from there.
