One of my favorites
This was taken a few years back and is one of my top ten shots. I took it at Ramona falls and on this particular shoot I came away with a lot of keepers. Now that my D2X is gone and I have a new D7000, I want to make it back here and shoot this place till the cow's come home.

Nice. I consider Ramona my exposure control nemesis. I need to go on a cloudy day or get there later in the day when the dynamic range is a little narrower and hike out in the evening. What lens did you use for this? One of the strategies I'm planning next time out is going longer to isolate patterns and omit some of the extreme shadows and light.

Thanks Marylynne.I used the Nikon 28-70 f2.8.

Very cool image, Erik. Ramona is one of my favorites. It's been a while since I've been there...I like the light on this shot. Well done.

I really like this one Erik. The interplay between light and shadow is what makes this one outstanding IMO.

Nicely done. I really like the waters paths between the boulders.

Great shot Erik. Where is Ramona Falls? Looks like I need to put it on my list of places to visit.

I remember this one well, Erik. Nice to see it again. Heh-heh, I agree, there's probably at least a million comps in there– well worth a whole day's shoot.
