Driving around yesterday with the window down made me realize that Spring Fever has hit me hard. I've been out shooting a couple of times this winter but I'm mostly a warm weather photographer so I'm starting to get excited about upcoming trips. We all sometimes post "what's in the bag" but I'm curious: What is new in your bag this year. What wonderful gear are you going out with that you didn't have before? I'll start.
After coming back from Yellowstone last May and realizing my 100-400 hadn't been out of the bag since the last Yellowstone trip 2 years before, I managed to trade it for a 70-200 f4 IS and a 1.4X TC. I shot with them a little bit last year but this year they will get a workout. That's what's new in my bag.
How bout the rest of you?

Mine is a what's new ON the bag, and that's my amazing new Feisol tripod. LOVE IT!!!
Mine is what bag is new...I fired on the special last month for NPNers and am looking at my brand new fstop Tilopia bag which is soon to get stuffed with my gear and go for a workout.BTW for all you folks......Colby Brown from fstop helped me with the bag order and not only delivered as promised but gave me a bit of an overview of the company and where it is heading during out order session. He does great customer care!

Canon 24-105 f/4 L lens. After debating between it and the 24-70 f/2.8, I went for the longer focal range and image stabilization. I got this lens late last year and really, really like it. It replaces (for the most part) my 24mm, 50mm, and 100mm fixed lenses. Only when I need more speed than f/4 do I break out one of them. It even focuses decently close for "macro" work, as well. I love the flexibility this lens offers, and the image quality is awesomely good.

I'm also getting a new bag, unfortunately the F-stop bags wouldn't fit me so I have a Clik Elite Nature bag on its way. Also added a "new" old lens, a mint condition 80-200 2.8L, which fills in a huge gap by doing double duty as a portrait and landscape lens. Its as awesome as its "Magic Drainpipe" suggests, so I am psyched. Pretty set on my 4 lens kit for awhile.

I got a new Acratech GV2 Ballhead to replace my Manfrotto when the ball cracked into 3 pieces.

My most recent acquisition was a Fujinon 400T for my 4X5 system. I stitched two sheets of velvia 100 together for this shot and then cropped down to a 6X17 ratio.

I was another one who did the F-Stop group order for the Tilopa BC. Pack is nice. Just waiting for the medium ICU which are backordered.
Mel thats great you can get a stitch from two 4x5 images. I can never get the skies to match...

I got a Canon 60D as a carry around camera with a new Tamron 17-250 VR lens and B+W polarizer. I love it and it rarely leaves my side.
Believe it or not it has been a light gear spring. Only thing I have bought is Dragon Naturally Speaking and a sony PCM-M10 recorder so I can take notes onsite and have them automatically transcribed on my computer. After visiting Japan last year and having a ton of photos that I have no clue where they were taken this will hopefully solve that problem.
That said - if anybody has a Canon 70-200 f4 L (non IS) for sale shoot me an email.
Also, I am in the market for a new camera bag. If one of the f-stop guys can help me out and let me stop by and see how they work that would be great.
@Paul - Can I check out your clik-nature and how you have laid it out and attached a tripod. I saw the bag at REI and it looked pretty cool.
Feisol tripod for my 500 f4 and a 70-200 2.8 for close in action. Bears are already out of hibernation in YNP. Received a report yesterday that Elk winter kill is high. Should be an interesting season.

I'm another happy F-Stop Tilopa BC owner. Very comfortable, easy access, no problem carrying a large tripod securely. Best camera/daypack combo that I have owned.
Wow! Lots of new gear hitting the field this year. With a lot of you jumping on the F-Stop bagwagon I nearly forgot about my new (to me) Photo Trekker. And the new Induro BHD 23 ballhead.
@Rich V...my 70-200 f4 isn't for sale but if you ever want to borrow it I'd be happy to babysit your f2.8.
