Palouse tree
Thoughts?

Overall I like this shot David. I would consider a crop of the lower portion to lose both yellow areas....the one on the left is kind of distracting..if you crop that out you still have a sliver of yellow on the right so I would lose both. Just an opinion.

Nice diagonals and that S curve on the left is really nice.

I suggest cropping from about an inch from the bottom making a solid green base The eyes would be drawn right to the tree. The rest I like.

I agree with Jacks crop suggestion. I would also suggest cutting back on the contrast a bit. Maybe bring a little more of the shadows? As is I do think it's excellent!

I also agree with the crop suggestions...I'm not sure about the contrast...I kinda like it dark, although if you want to bring out some shadows, I'd probably vote for an overall lightening. I love the comp though. Late afternoon light, wonderful greens. Taken from Steptoe Butte, I can tell...300mm lens? Polarizer? Nicely done.

Ditto on cropping the bottom. I think I like the contrast where it is. Wonderful light.

Very nice... S curves, soft rolling lines. I think there are some excellent suggestions from everyone. I cant add anything to what has been said.

Thanks guys! I'm still blown away by how much real feedback you get on these forums, I really appreciate it. David, you're right in all regards except it was 240mm  polarizer is a must have here, looks completely and utterly flat without it. I took all of your advice on cropping, what do you think now?

I really like the cropped version David. The side lighting gives the scene a 3 dimensional feel.
