We know the UK economy is tight at the moment and UKNP has an audience that is a good 'target' for workshop participants; but that is not what UKNP was set up for.
Can we remind participants of the UKNP Gallery and Discussion forums of the UKNP rules re commercialism; namely
10. UKNP Forum does not allow any commercial advertising or ‘infomercials’ on the forum.
11. UKNP Forum does not allow the posting of any other political or commercially-driven information or, additionally, any information or reference to charitable events, workshops, other forums, or associated comment on such information, workshops, events or forums, by its organiser, or any third-party, without pre-authorisation by the UKNP Forum moderators.
Please abide with the above and do not use the forum (directly or through inference) to promote commercial activities as these rules have been put there, due to previous bitter experience, to ensure the smooth running of UKNP forums (Gallery and discussion).
Theres no harm done, no relationships sullied, no need for any personal coms (as we am up to our neck in work) ... this post is just a polite reminder...
You can advertise your wares by putting a single line in your signature to point people to your workshop pages on your website
Unfortunately Elan is not running this year as Mike has other commitments at the moment.
Other events, I am open to people using this section to advertise get togethers (not for profit) but the status-quo in the Wylie house holds since Xmas has been a bit problematic for my wife is pregnant (due on easter Sunday) and our 3.5 year old is demanding but fun. Additionally my wider family is in a bit of trouble with a serious medical issue with one of my nephews so co-ordinating anything (or even getting the camera out of its bag) is impossible and will remain so be for the coming months.
That said I am not the centre of anything so - all,
please - use the forum to the full for non-commercial gatherings, meetings, chats, information etc - when nick and I find them we will pin them to the top of the forum.
Normal service from me may be a quarter away.... believe me I would love to get out with the camera but my prioritises are with my family at the moment.
