Okay Todd...you asked and you shall receive. Here are some crane images from Monte Vista this weekend. I was down in Monte Vista from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning and met up with Dan Walters, so I am certain he will be posting a few soon as well!
I haven't even made my first pass through all my images yet, but here are a few quick ones until I have time to get through them.
I took this first one on Saturday morning. I liked how the shadow was visible in the field and feel it provides more depth to the image.

We had beautiful morning light on Sunday with lots of pinks & blues reflecting back into the water form the mountains. On this one, I went with a slower shutter speed to create motion blur in the wings (1/125)

On this one, like I said a lot of pink and blue colors were bouncing back into the water from the reflections right at sunrise.

Great job Kurt! Just got done going though mine. Thanks again for the help in locating the cranes.
I just love viewing top quality wildlife images like these. I won't try and pick any favorites because they're all excellent, Kurt!
Thanks a million for sharing these with this wildlife starved photographer.
A note that all of these appear to be underexposed to one degree or another, and most could stand a Levels adjustment for both black/white points. No big deal whatsoever..just my nature as a semi-pro nitpicker.

Thanks for your keen eye John! I will definitely take them back into processing and give it a go. As always, I appreciate your critiques!
