Having had some more images knicked I was asked recently following an award if I could prove author of an image. The comp is not too important and is an American competition . However the image was flagged up on a great site called tineye found here www.tineye.com

The search is very easy and all you need to do is add your original small sized jpeg with exif data intact into the search box and let the search engine do the work ..
The comp organisers had requested , as is fantastic , a full tiff/ raw version to prove ownership as their search had come up with no fewer than 4 seperate owners !!!!!

Hope this helps a few who suffer with copyright and plagiarism..

It's funny, I had a similar problem a while back and wrote a blog post about it, also telling others to check out Tin Eye.
