It has Been Awhile....
I have been getting very itchy about going out and shooting lately and after a bit of rain in the last day or so in my preferred area..I head out about 1:30 yesterday morning. My lovely bride went with me for the second time ever so I felt I had to take her some places that she could see something. After driving 4 hours with two of those in the clouds(even at 2000 feet we have clouds on the tops of the hills in AR) I landed at Triple Falls/Camp Orr. This was running only as a double falls with the third one just trickling..as I left I did note the volume of this area began to pick up so no doubt today it is looking good. Best part was the four turkeys who trotted single file down the road in front of my truck for over 100 yards until they headed off in the woods. Then a short drive to my next location. My first time here but I knew there would be some waterfalls flowing. I also knew my wife could get to them per Tim E's description. Here is a very basic image of what things were like yesterday. From my recon I can tell that in normal water flows this area is full of great opportunity and also a bit of danger if you do not watch your step.

Can anyone guess where this was taken and Tim E does not get a guess. :toast:

Hi Bob. I know exactly where that's at, but I'll keep the guessing game going. Good job composing this shot. The waterfall leads the eye into the great detail in the pool.

Hope you get to make it to the Spring gathering.

John,
For the first time I believe Tim's description of how easy it is to get to this spot. The amount of rock in this area and the way water has sculpted the rock highlight how much water must flow through here at some point. And every inch of the rock has slick as snot algae on it. I did not go any farther downstream but I am sure there are more good spots waiting for all of us there.

I hope to see everyone at the Spring meetup....hoping I get to go.

Yes Darren but actually was calling the Ar and Mo folks to task as they might have been here before. My take on this area is not the usual spot but one close to the standard spot.
