I have been a closet viewer of CSNP for quite a while now and finally decided to sign up and make a few posts. For the guys that know me, they are aware that I have been shooting some extremely WILD wildlife since January. Cheerleading! In an attempt to clear my brain, I have made it a point to get back to nature as much as possible this past week. Hopefully I will have some productive shots from those trips shortly. This shot was taken last year on my way back home to Arkansas from Colorado. It was one of those 10 second opportunities I just had to stop and take advantage of.

This is just a wonderful image! I love the angle, the warm color of the sky and darkening clouds, the separation of the feathers on the wingtip...such a graceful bird! I could go on and on, or I could just say that this is one of the most awesome shots I've seen in a long while Thanks for sharing - I look forward to seeing more!

Welcome Larry! Glad you could join us! I don't recall seeing anything like this posted here before. A real nice blend of high key and silhouette elements and an overall wonderful capture with the spread of the wing feathers! Super shot, thanks for posting! We look forward to many, many more!!
Larry, I would never have anticipated saying this to you, but it's nice to see that you've come out of the closet. It's good to see you on the forum. This image is new to me, and I really like it. Great use of your limited opportunity. I, too, am looking forward to seeing more.
