Hurricane Agnes
Well, the winds were definitely 75+ at the lake--knocked me on my butt a couple times! I snowshoed the 3+ miles to the lake (last mile was a bit of a slog, otherwise a straight-forward hike) hoping for a good sunset, but when i discovered that i had once again (6,7 times now??) lost the lock for my ballhead, and didnt bring the spare i usually bring (string of expletives released at this point), so I cut my stay short. The wind was nasty anyways
Here's the crags

Finally, an easy color vs. b&w contest! Color, all the way. I love this area. For all your effort to get up to Lake Agnes, I like your road shot bringing up the rear the best.

Hi Stan,

I agree, the wind lately has been heinous.

I think I like #3 the best. It's very nicely exposed. The iced slope, and wicked spin drift remind me of the old days when I used to enjoy and look forward to painful hiking. Did you remember your goggles? :jump:

I love this place, but I haven't been there for years! I have got to get back! But, in the summer, not winter! Excellent series, Stan! I like #6 the best here, and the one on Landscape the best overall.

I love seeing the snow blowing around. I prefer the color for me too. I haven't been to this location so it's nice to see. I appreciate the effort in the winds we're having lately too.

BTW, I highly recommend the RRS quick-release clamp and ballheads, nothing to come off or lose, but I'm sure you know that.

The color version of #1 is my preference over the B&W. But #3 is my overall choice with the blowing snow matching the clouds, and shiny foreground slope.

Color for sure Stan. I love the shots with the wind driven snow. You paid the price but got some nice images.
