DC cormorant
on my morning trip to the river to check on things I went over to the main channel to see if ther was any thing there to shoot. I found a Downey Woodpecker working on a nest site ( about half way there judging by how much of him was still sticking out of the hole). Had already caught a couple shots of a RW Blackbird. There was not much in the main river but a long shot of what I think was a Rudy Duck. (got a couple shots but they are poor) As I was leaving I saw a group of DC Cormorants ilght in up river so I went back to see if I could get anything. They stayed way North of me but as I was waiting for them to work down one surfaced just even with me. I actually was ready even though it came up and took off as soon as its head broke water. Enough story, here is the shot.

Nice catch. I would like to see the glint of the eye but nevertheless a nice shot.
