Hey everyone! I hope I didn't miss to much here on RMNP! We were in the United Kingdom for a couple of weeks visiting family. The weather wasn't the greatest for photography as it was very hazy with this nasty band around the horizon for almost the entire time we were there. The sea was pretty calm too. None-the-less I tried to make the best of it and did a little shooting. Here is a link to my trip images. http://morninglight.us/gallery.php?gallery=2011uk Some of them are mid-day images or night images that aren't great but which family wanted to see. Apart from these let me know what you think and how they might be improved. Many thanks!
Erik, we missed you man. Sounded like you had a great and relaxing trip, which you deserve. You always seem to come out with great images, regardless of weather conditions. Here are a few of my favorites:
"Wet Feet at Bigburry" - Fantastic comp with foreground rocks and the water movement! Just a great image.
"Evening in Herefordshire" - Wow! Fantastic work. Such even exposure and an incredible scene.
"Barbican Blue" - Beautiful reflection and colors.
I also really enjoyed some of your night work and the pano shots at the bottom. Well done my friend.
Looks like quite a haul of images Erik. My personal favs are "Wet Feet at Bigburry" as well as "Cornish Evening" (love the seascapes), "Stars of Llanthony" (awesome stars & architecture) and "Michael's Rocks" (a unique take on an iconic location). Thanks for sharing these.

Erik, Welcome home. You are far too humble friend. Those are some awesome images. I love the stars and castle image and the sun, sheep and big oak tree with the pink sky. Absolutely gorgeous. Back in my political days (1980s-90s), Joyce, my son, daughter and I spent Christmas in Hereford. We stayed with a family named Shepard. He was a member of Parliament at the time. It was a lovely area and we have wanted since to go back. Somewhere around here I have a key to the city of Hereford.
Thanks for the encouragement guys! Rod, you really should get back there. It is such a wonderful part of the country. I'm sure with the key of Hereford you could open quite a few doors and get some rather unique shots.
You didn't leave an ounce of your talent at home, Erik! This one is pure magic, and the rest are all unbelievable! I honestly like all 30 of them. As they tend to say over there, "Brilliant!"
Nice varied set, Erik! I like your night shots. The sheep/sun shot is real cool, and the Saint Michaels ones are nicely composed. The only one im not crazy about is the one here

Welcome home! Nice haul. Love the night shots. We stopped by the gallery weekend before last. You'll be happy to know it was open!
Made the best of it, you surely did!
I like 'em all (save for the one posted here), but the standouts for me are 'Evening in Herefordshire', 'Brecon Symmetry', and 'Night at Llanthony'.
These images need to be published. I hope you will do a book on your English adventure...These images are incredible...magnificent.

Very nice collection. I Iike the patterns of the ceiling and the night shots with the arches and windows, but clearly Evening in Herefordshire is my favorite.
