Does anyone have experience good or bad with this company? I was looking at purchasing a Feisol tripod from them to try and save on the shipping, but emails go unanswered. I sent the first on Friday and the second yesterday. I thought I read on here that they are pretty responsive. Wanted to know if this was normal or if I should just go through Feisol direct ( but their paypal site was all Chinese so that made me nervous too). Thanks in advance. –Lance
Lance, do a quick search on this forum and you will find plenty of discussion on this. In fact just last month I recall a post about Feisol tripods and the subject of purchasing through here came up. Generally I think everyone has had great experience buying from RBC, that includes myself. My only negative thing is that post sale support is very lacking.
I bought a PhotoClam ballhead from Kevin and everything went very well. I had no problem getting help from them after my purchase -- I swapped out the clamp w/ a RRS clamp. However, I emailed him again last week and got no response, so that seems to match the experience that others have had.
I've also had excellent communication with Kerry at RBC. Perhaps he's on holiday or an unexpected event?
Just as a double check, are you sending the emails to sales@reallybigcameras.com
with the header 'New Request - Feisol Order'?
Yeah, that's where I sent both emails. I found Feisol's US site, so I may go that route instead. I did the search, that is why I thought it was odd that I didn't get a response, at least an out of office. No biggie. Thanks for the comments.
I went through Feisol's US site at feisol.net and had no issues. They appear to have a US presence on the ground in North Carolina. I haven't tried Really Big Cameras.

I recently ordered from feisol.net and it was a seamless purchase. The shipping was free and my tripod arrived in two days, right before Christmas. This route worked for me!
John, it is definitely a support issue. I don't think he cares once your sale is long done and over. I actually found the email chain where I was emailing back and forth with Kerry directly when I purchased from there, then responded to it to make sure it goes to the right address. I also emailed on 2-3 different occasions and got no response from him. Funny, considering all I wanted was a receipt for business purposes. I haven't even bothered emailing him to ask about buying replacement parts for the problems I had with the rubber feet falling off.
As I mentioned he was extremely nice and easy to work with during the 3-4 days I discussed and purchased from him. I don't question he is a good guy and he delivered everything as was stated and a good price, but the post customer support is terrible. I even sent 3 different people to him on recommendation and they all dropped my name, so for him to not even get back to me was terrible. It is called customer service..figure it out or you will lose customers.

I had questions about some products and left phone messages and sent emails probably 3 months ago and never received any type of communication back from Kerry.
