I haven't seen this on the site before, so I thought I'd share about a great photograpy experience I had in Nebraska over the weekend. I booked into the Sandhills Motel (402-925-5600) in Mullen, Nebraska, and registered for a sunset photo tour of prairie chickens and a sunrise tour of sharp-tailed grouse. This guy has bought old school buses and pulls them into leks for each of these birds that are in the middle of nowhere. He has removed the seats so tripods can get right up against the walls and has blacked-out the back glass so the birds can't really see you. He drives you out there in time to be there for the birds returning to the lek in the AM and PM and generally gets you less than 50 feet from the birds. Now, and for the next 2 weeks is when they are doing their great breeding/courting behaviors. I haven't processed any of the pics yet, so nothing to post here. This guy is all about setting this up for photographers, as opposed to the Rowe Sanctuary, where they treat photographers as a necessary evil. The cost of the room and the 2 tours for TWO of us came to $140! Contact me if you need more info.

BTW, thanks for the post.....I just left a comment on Dave's post asking if the season was still going on.....so great timing!
