Great Smoky Mountains & BRP Included In Parks To Be Closed

Unless the politicians in Washington get their act together and pass a budget today all the National Parks will close at midnight. That includes the Smokies and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The GSMNP has developed an action plan to close the visitors centers, camp grounds, and roads. The gates to the parkway will be closed. The next few weeks will be the best time for wildflowers. I have plans to go 4/21 - 22. I guess I'll wait an see and make plans to head somewhere else if our park is closed.
