Mountains in Google Earth
Some time ago, there was a thread about the reduced number of mountain icons in GE - big-time bummer. Its hard to tell if Google has fixed that problem with the latest updates, but they have added some really cool new features for the mountains which are displayed. Make sure you have the Mountains layer selected. Then when you click on a mountain icon you get an info bubble that includes cross-sections in 4 directions as well as other available info. Fly to your favorite mountain and check it out.

Details here.

I was the one who started that thread before, and I had planned to mention weeks ago that it appears whatever the problem was, Google fixed it. The mountains that had disappeared are pretty much back. However, I did NOT see this cool new feature. Thanks for the heads-up, Scott!
