San Luis Lakes from February
Hi All - After being an NPN member for more than two years, I decided that I should probably start participating! I took this photo in February at the San Luis Lakes in the San Luis Valley of Colorado. Because of some bad planning on my part, I did not have enough time to make it to the sand dunes for sunset as I had hoped and I decided to check out the San Luis Lakes area instead. With all the interesting patterns on the ice, I walked away with some images that I like, including this one, and got some photos from a new location.

You can see more here (including some in color): http://photos.sarahfischler.com/p548203074

Suggestions for improvement welcome.

Sarah,

Very nice vertical perspective, and the black & white conversion looks like the right fit. I had a look at your other images from San Luis and I have to say they are all worthy including a few of the color shots. Looks like you've got the vertical/wide perspective down to a science.

Your site has some pretty impressive images, I hope you will keep sharing at NPN.

Very nice, Sarah! If I didn't know better, I'd have thought these were Guy Tal shots from somewhere around GSL.

Yeah, if you have skills like this, you need to be bringing it more often! Excellent work.

This is really good! Nice leading line patterns and a striking sky, with the snowcapped peaks providing a perfect balance.
Absolutely love the ponderosa pine images on your site! Lots of great work there, Sarah. Welcome aboard!

Ah, one of my favorite spots! Nice Job, Sarah! If you get a chance, be sure to check out the other lakes up the road (when access is permitted) :wavey:

Pleasing compositon for sure. I also like the snow and ice patterns in "Wnter in the Valley"
