Just thought I'd warn everyone about a scam called 24sevenpccare.com. They tell you they have a database of all Windows computers and that they are here to help you fix your computer. They tell you to click 'start' and then 'run,' and then to type in www.24sevenpccare.com OR www.ammyy.com. They then tell you to download the program and install it. This just logs all your keystrokes each time you are on it.
They are very persistent, but are reluctant when you say you would like to check them out on the internet.
Hope that helps

They are based in India I believe.
Was it a phone call from them that you got ?

Yes it was - they called up, saying that our computer had a problem, and that they knew about it because they were contracted by Microsoft and so had a database of all Windows computers. When they reluctantly agreed for my mum to call back, the phone number was a duff one.
