Trail and Shoot Suggestions Around Cherokee?
Heading up to the Cherokee area late next week for a quick 2-3 days and looking for suggestions for hiking trails and/or photo shoot locations. I've been to the area more than a few times so I'm pretty familiar with Newfoundland Gap road, the major park sites, the Parkway, etc. but would be interested in hearing favorite shoot locations and trails from others who know the area better than I do.

Meanwhile, here's one from the last time I was at the park. A small falls on Parsons Branch Road.

Barry, I was up there last week while the Masters was going on here in Augusta. I was in the Maggie Valley area and not alot of color. I did get to Soco Falls which is east of Cherokee on 19...maybe 20 min. trip. It was flowing quite well due to a recient storm. I hope to return in mid May. Have a great trip and keep us posted on your findings.

Barry,
Try this little gem near Cherokee if you want to escape the crowds.

Balsam mtn road or Heintooga Ridge Road off of Blue Ridge Parkway which ends up near Cherokee NC

Google for directions.

Enjoy my friend,

Harold

Know you weren't asking for a critique, but I really like that comp in B&W. Thanks for including it in your request.
