Spring Melt at High Falls
The spring snow melt is underway on the Minnesota North Shore so I drove up on Monday. What a difference two weeks makes. Two weeks ago my wife and I were wandering around in an ice covered landscape at Tetteguche State Park. This week most of the snow and ice were gone. This is a shot of High Falls at Grand Portage State Park. It was a spectacular sight. When the water hit the bottom of the falls it was basting over 100 feet in the air. There was so much spray that it was difficult to shoot. Two of the viewing platforms were impossible and the other was difficult. At one point there were three different rainbows in the spray.

I've added some additional photos and a description of the trip on my Blog.

Sounds like spring is finally arriving.

Practically summer in Texas already. All green. A few wildflowers left but its dry.

I am already ready for fall........
