Wizard's Hat
Thanks to all of you that gave me advice on locations while I was out in Oregon, I ended up staying at the Table Rock Motel in Bandon and for the price it's not a bad place and they're very friendly! The first two days were overcast and miserable as to be expected this time of year but on my last night there the clouds parted and gave me a very decent sunset

Great place to be and to stay. This is a wonderful shot-- great comp of the rocks, and I love the water/reflections on the sand in the fg. Sun's a little hot; toned down a bit would preserve the nice mood happens elsewhere in the frame. Overall very cool. Hope you enjoyed your stay in the great PNW and will come back again.

David, nicely seen. I like the comp very much. Sun is a little hot and pulls the eye, but still gives the sense of time of day and realism. Hope you had a great time in our neck of the woods. I used to live in Colorado, and spent many days in the mountains west of Fort Collins.

Thanks, I always enjoy my time out there, in fact I'll be back in July in the Portland area

What they said! (In fact, even the part about CO; I went to veterinary school at CSU.)

I really like the comp, and the bird at the top of the hat is very cool. I agree that the sun is too hot, but I know how challenging that can be, and the photo works very well even so.

Very nice image David. I really like the colors and the reflected light on the sand/water is excellent. I'm glad you had at least 1 day of good light on the coast. It can be a big challenge to get good light out there.
