Got back earlier this afternoon, this is the first shot I've processed from the short hike Saturday in the rain This was my first trip ever into here so I'm not sure if these are full bloom or not, but let me tell you... when I stepped foot off that third bridge it was like walking into another land... I've never seen anything like that in my life
Anyway there was some white trillium in bloom righ before the first bridge and some beyond the falls, that's as far as I went.
Made a quick trip around Roaring Fork and there was trillium here and there as well.
And Like Nye said in another post the dogwoods aren't doing much yet a couple here and there with good blooms.
Great photo, Thomas. I felt exactly the same way when we were there several days ago. Crossing the third bridge was like stepping into a different world. I took a bearing and hypothesized that the lushness of that slope has to do with its relatively northern exposure. Thanks for the update. This has me even more fired up for our visit in a couple weeks. Bring it on!
