A great instructional video about how to create a problem bear. That poor bear will probably end up hurting someone who isn't prepared to feed him and get killed got his efforts.

Is this the APEX of Scandinavian 'tom-foolery' or what?!? Am in agreement with the assessment of Fred Stearns- should not have happened. More sensible intervention at least would have been to have pitched some grub out on the ice..away from the boat; and even that with cautionary restraint!

This is without a doubt the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Mankind continues to destroy Nature!

Many years ago there was a young male grizzly at Eielson Visitor Center, Denali (then Mt. McKinley) National Park. He'd appear and help the tourists eat their lunches. One day, one tourist refused to share, and Toklat took the lunch anyway, mauling the tourist in the process. Later that day, Toklat was shot.

What these idiot Norwegians are doing is creating a "Toklat" in a polar bear, except this creature has a range of thousands of miles, not hundreds of miles. The animal now associates people with food, and is a living nightmare for the next people the bear encounters. And, by the way, that pop gun in the one fool's shoulder harness will only annoy, not kill, the bear.

Longs odds the bear will have to be shot, assuming we don't starve it to death in the meantime by destroying its habitat.

We could prevent this problem with a little common sense or, failing that, shooting the idiots who engage in this kind of behavior.

I'd sure want to anchor my boat for the night a long way from there. Imagine those sweet dreams.

This is no different than the geniuses who feed alligators. On several occassions I've been approached by them, and instantly knew that someone had fed them in the past.

Because of the comments, I'm not even going to view the image(s) lest I become enraged. Certainly agree with all that's been said. I'll just add that the bear is probably more enlightened than those particular Homo sapiens. Too bad bear will suffer for man's foolishness.

Adventurer Ragnar Thor Seth should know better!
