I thought I would pass this on if anyone is interested. Curtis Knight sent me an email of some action going on in Vernonia lake. Here is a cut and paste of his email. If anyone wants more info just email me and I will give you his phone number.
"There are about a half dozen or so ospreys fishing in Vernonia Lake every evening. There are also a couple blue herons and a couple bald eagles most evenings. However, most of the action is with the ospreys.
I've seen the eagle trying to steal fish from the herons, and he will also chase the ospreys around the lake trying to steal their fish.
Lots of action out here. There is also a large population of red wing blackbirds and of course the ubiquitous ducks and geese".
You guys should come check it out. You can pass my phone number onto anyone who would like to ask more questions.
