Geese
#1: Look closely, there are two.

Had a great morning at Red Rock Canyon open space. Patience paid off, as the fog that sat idle over northern Colorado Springs eventually drifted south to my location. Of course, when you've got clouds under your command, that stuff happens.

#3: The light on this is flat, I know, but the cloud bank was so cool.

#4: Better light, less clouds, more taste, less filling.

That's all for now.

Ahhh, I get it. The clouds and red rock aren't the subject... Lovely layered comps, and I'm diggin' #2 for the tree that mimics the shape of the rock.

My favorite is #2 because of the dynamic light and that wonderful curved branch that frames the rock so well.

The spotlight on Pikes Peak makes #4 my favorite. The addition of red rocks and fog makes it even better. #2 is compelling too with the curving branch that echoes the shapes of the rocks. Well done.

The view from the overlook up on Rampart Range Road was great. The moonset over Pikes Peak was spectacular, tomorrow should be good too, as it set just before first direct light on the peak. I wish there had been more color but the sun was blocked to the east for a bit. Unfortunately the fog/cloud bank cleared pretty fast but then hung just past Garden of the Gods. The drive down into the springs was very distracting as I kept oggling the clouds.

I saw your FB post and wanted to see if I could track you down, but had to get to work :frown:

Geese who think they are eagles - an apt metaphor for some of the people I deal with regularly.

I like number 2 for the reasons stated above. I like number 1 also!!

I also really like #2 - the curving tree is great. You certainly do have a knack for finding beautiful clouds and fog!

I'm with the majority. I like #2. However, because I love wildlife and the wierdness at times I do like #1 as well. :)

#2 is very nice. I like the way the branch runs with the rock formation. In the first one I wouldn't expect to see geese there, just seems odd to me, but in a good way. Nice light in four and the cloud bank is awesome!

I just had to come over and take a Gander at what you were chirping and hooting about that morning. Then I looked up and there they were!!!! I like #2 as well! :toast:

I saw those clouds rolling in and wish I had my camera. Great work.
