We surely have NPN members in Indiana. Maybe they can go "talk" to these jerks.
"Target practice" and "they just saw a big white bird and shot it" ??
Maybe the $10,000 reward that was given to the tipster should come out of the offender's pocket.
Trivial fines do nothing more than trivialize the crime.
Disgusting.

What is wrong with our world? I am sorry to say that the more I venture out into the wildlife and nature, the more I feel shame towards my own species.

Some thing is wrong when a court decides the life of an endangered species of high profile is worth only $1.00! An insult to those who care, junenille or not.
This is why the kids of today are always into soooooo much trouble. They are never appropriately punished, like having a belt used on their behinds, as well as the standard fine for killing an endangered species. Never hurt me except in the butt, and my feelings, but believe me --I never forgot, and never did it again. Actually the fine is to encourage parents to take notice of what their kids are doing. : : I am totally amazed at what kids get away with today.
