Last weekend I drove from Yakima to Newport, OR on Saturday and returned Sunday. A very quick trip. I had a couple hours before leaving,so I dropped by the Yaquina Head tidal pools. To my luck it was a very low tide. Although my initial interest was the tidal pools, the kelp offered some very colorful opportunities.

Jim, I am intrigued by this image. I think it might have more impact with a polarizer to saturate the colors and eliminate the reflections. I like the composition a lot. It draws my eye into the scene and keeps me interested.
David, Excellent critique. My failure to take a polarizer (after all, how much space does it occupy?) prevented me from some images due to glare on water. A lesson learned, hopefully! Thanks. Jim

I really like this one Jim. The metallic look to the surface of the seaweed is outstanding. I think David is spot on about the polarizer.
