Trying to get back in the saddle after an extended absence. I was working through some older files and came across this. I'm uncertain about the foreground level - too light? dark? Maybe B&W? Interested in comments - including a yes/no on the symmetry.
thanks, and feels good to be back.

The foreground may be a little dark for some, but it's certainly not a killer issue for me. The overall symmetry draws me right to the setting moon, and the slightly dark foreground keeps it from being a distraction. I like it!

I like this a lot! Kinda curious what a b&w would look like. You might have to pick up the foreground a little bit for a conversion.
I like it Dan (makes me feel at home)! The almost-symmetry here is working for me, and though the moon is pretty centered, it seems right somehow. The color gradient in the sky is really nice. The only thing that bugs me about the foreground is the blurry-looking gray strip at the very bottom (looks like cottonwood bosque?). If you could find a way to bring out just a touch more detail and sharpness down there, I think it would help the image. But if that's all that's in there, I still think it's working.
Welcome back. To add to the comments above, I would also consider seeing what a pano crop looks like here. You have a lot of dead space up top. I think a pano would draw more attention to the scene and that beautiful moon.

The comments above have a lot of merit.

Not a fan of b&w per Bill's reason.
P.S. Your 'Jemez Mtns Spring Showers' image is simply outstanding!
