Has anyone used the Hahnemuhle Gallerie Wrap system for stretching canvas? It looks extremely easy to do but, then again, so does brain surgery. I was thinking was of trying it either with the Hahnemuhle Monet canvas or perhaps another brand. This will be my first printing on canvas experience, so any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I use the Breathing Color Easy Wrap system which is I believe is identical to the Hahnemuhle system. It works very well and I have wrapped up to 20x30 using the "pro" bars that are 1.75 " thick. Also you should look at the Breathing Color Lyve Canvas: It has amazing quality and color gamut with my Epson 7900. Not the cheapest canvas on the market , but to me the quality makes it worth it. I was unsure about the quality of printing on canvas until I saw what my work looked like on Lyve!!

Thanks Steve. In fact, I was just looking the Breathing Color system as someone mentioned it on another site. It does look identical to the Hahnemule system, and I was also looking at the Lyve canvas as well. Looks very nice. I think I will order a trial roll. Thanks for your help.

I just ordered the trial kit and cutter for stretching the canvas. I decided against ordering a trial roll of Lyve canvas as the smallest roll is 17" width and all I have is the tiny R2400 (13" width). I guess I will just get my images printed at West Coast Imaging. I haven't heard of the canvas they use (Sihl), but as good as those guys are, I'm sure I'll probably be happy with it. I've never been let down by WCI yet. The good part too, is that they're even cheaper than getting it done locally!

I'll second what Stephen said. I'm using the Easy Wrap system on Lyve canvas from Breathing color. I've been very pleased with the quality so far. I also use the Timeless varnish from breathing color to coat protect and add contrast to the canvas.

Hey Bill: I've never had WCI print a canvas for me but I've always been pleased with their regular prints. I use Artistic Photo Canvas for all of my canvas prints and I couldn't be happier. The quality is outstanding and their customer service is top notch. I've had everything from 16"x24" to 32"x48" canvas prints made there and all were awesome. I'll throw in to try Canvas on Demand....amazing customer support, awesome quality(had many compliment the corner wrapping), and best of all for sales, 50% off 2nd canvas of same size and image at time of order. Cuts down on costs a lot for known sellers.
