Colorado Woody
Went to Grand Junction to photograph Owls this week and ran across these beautiful Wood Ducks- very elusive birds.

Amazing action shots, Bob. They are not easy birds to get close to, let alone such wonderful shots to boot!

Don- Thanks for the kind comments from a wildlife photographer! I was very patient waiting for the woody's to come out from the brush that they hide in along the banks.

Heh heh...I sure wasn't expecting these with the title you used!
#'s 2 & 3 are my favorites. I don't believe I've ever seen this type of duck in an action sequence before.
Very nice work, Bob!

With that title, I thought I was going to have to turn on my parental preferences
nice work Bob...I agree they are very hard to get close to. I still don't have a shot of this species that I really like. #3 is my fav followed by #1.

Great job of the action sequences. That 3rd is my favorite though.

Hey guys- sorry if I led you astray with the title- wasn't my intention. Thanks for the comments!

Nice set, Bob--especially 1 & 3!

Outstanding images! Not a common duck to see in this area.

The reflection and pose in #3 is nice. I like how you have captured the explosiveness of their launch in 1&2.
