Burning Bush
My kids were out of school last week for spring break so we took advantage of the time and camped in Arches. The first day was cold and windy, but it improved from there. I had one nice evening of sunset light and one nice morning of sunrise light. The rest of the time I had to be a good Dad and entertain the family. I welcome your comments and critique on these 5 images. The first thing that came to my mind as I worked this image was "Burning Bush".

I think that #1 would be greatly improved by cropping off both sides to eliminate the shadowed areas and skies, leaving the sunlit rock and the tree to stand alone.
#3 is an interesting mix of light, shadows and rock with a pretty blue sky. I like the color contrast there.
#4 could be my favorite by cropping out nearly half of the left side, about 1/2 inch before the branch that juts into the sky. That focuses the view onto the most interesting part of the image.

#1 would be amazing with the crop suggestion from John. Really nice!

I agree with the crop suggestion not as an over all replacement but just as an alternative you can display as a series. It gives me many ideas on some projects I'm working on of my own! Either way I love the presentation. :toast:
