Very interesting image here, and I like the duo-tone processing. One suggestion would be to see if you can't balance the dynamic light a bit more. The image is quite bright/blown on the top right, where the reflection almost seems a bit too dark. You might be able to play around with this a bit in post if you have not lost the data. Nice scene though!

Here's a re-take with koveh's suggestions...thanks!
I like your original best. Might tone down the light strip in the center a bit....area of exteme contrast tends to draw the eye a little too much and divide the image in half.

Both treatments bring out the awesome beauty of Yosemite. Hope to get back there soon.

What a great scene you captured!
I like the recovery of the highlights and more detail in the reflection of the repost, but I think you need to burn down that bright strip of snow that Joe mentioned to more closely match the original.
Cool--id take the top of the original, and the reflection of the repost--perfect!

Ditto John and Stan's comments...hope to see the repost again!

I agree with John and Stan as well. Also, in the repost my eye went directly to the hot spot in the lower, right corner. You might tone that down a bit.

I appreciate the feedback on this photo. I struggle with seeing issues with my own photos, but when others comment on how to improve, it usually opens my eyes to the issues.
Ok...I've done a rework as john and Stan suggested...any comments??
Thanks again for the help!
Getting close, but now the skies resemble the first image with large patches of overexposed areas. What happened?
The skies in the original repost looked great.
This is a real nitpick on my part, but I think that cloning out a few of the tiny snow patch reflections in the lower right quadrant would help. They just appear to be lake debris to my eye and are a slight detraction.
