Stream Violet
This composition, stream violet in solomon's seal foliage presented itself today while Wade (you've seen lots of his work here) & I were out hiking the nature trails at Tualatin Hills Nature Park. I was using my new Nikon D-7000 for the first time. This picture was taken with the new camera and my 105 micro Nikkor. This is also the first time I've used a live view feature and liked it very much for critical focus.

I like it! This is just plain excellent. I just got a D-7000 and I have to tell you it's an amazing camera for the price!

Just fantastic! The little violet so delicate and radiant in it's vibrant green habitat. Congrats on a pristine shot.

Can't say enough good things about the 105 Nikkor- I love to use mine. Hear a lot of good things about the D7000 from those of you who have it.

Beautiful!! Excellent job of isolating that yellow flower against the perfect background. The photo suggests shaded lighting, and if so I'd be tempted to cool it a little so that the greens aren't quite so yellow. You might darken the yellower stem in the background too, then it wouldn't compete with that flower.
