Eurasian tree sparrow?
I took this shot at Sugar Grove Nature Center in central Illinois, at noon. I thought this sparrow seemed different than the others. As near as I can tell it is an Eurasian tree sparrow. Would appreciate confirmation or alturnative ID.

taken with a Canon PS SX30IS through a window.

I agree on your ID. This introduced species has a very limited range along the MO-IL boundary.

Looks very much like a Eurasian Tree Sparrow to me too John :^)

I'll post a photo for your here of one I shot up in Bangkok, although I see them in my village and pretty much everywhere I go in Thailand; they have to be one of the most common birds we have over here.

Thank you Richard and Ashley. These guys must be spreading north, we are about 180 miles northeast of St. Louis.
