Exhibits in Fort Worth, Texas
Hi Gang!

I'd like to let you know that I have two exhibits this month in Fort Worth, Texas of my work of Grand Canyon. I've been here for the last week matting and framing, and preparing for presentation and programs I'll be giving this upcoming week to local kids and young adults.

My exhibits are actually part of a larger program that is all about bringing the Grand Canyon to Fort Worth. We have a large collection of paintings on display including a Thomas Moran that is on loan from the park.

If you are interested in seeing my work, you can view it at The Fort Worth Central Library and The Fort Worth Community Arts Center. I expect to be in the Arts Center every afternoon this week, usually after 3pm.

This project (along with several others) has kept me very busy since August of last year. This unfortunately left me very little "free" time to spend on forums, or even getting out to shoot with friends. I hope to be much more involved as I have very much missed the camaraderie here on NPN & RMNP.

This is my first large exhibit and owe so much to all of you.

Congratulations Adam! What a great showcase for your remarkable body of work, along with a great outreach opportunity! If I was a wealthy oilman, I'd hop my my private jet just to see your show! Best of luck with the show.:toast: :toast:

Thanks Adam,
I live 170 miles from Ft. Worth, so if I can get my ducks in a row I will drive up...what is the total time the show will be up?

Dave,
Thank you for your wonderful words! I'd ask that you please avoid using the private jet, we all know that they aren't exactly environmentally friendly.

Joe,
Both locations will be up through the end of May. I hope you have an opportunity to see it. :wavey:

Congratz on both shows.

I can say, that for those who have not been to Cowtown, that the FW Community Arts Center is a very nice facility for a show as it used to be the modern art museum and has some very nice gallery space. When the Modern built a new facility nearby, the FWCAC moved into the old digs.

I am in Kansas on business but if you have some free time in the evening and want to hang out with photographers, the Fort Worth Camera Club will be meeting this Thursday night from 7-9 two buildings over at the UNT Osteopathic Med school. Should be 150+ other photographers there.

I might also plug a few good places to eat as Fuzzys Taco Shop *(by TCU),Dutch's Burgers (also by TCU), Love Shack or Chuys (both off 7th headed toward downtown)

Phil,

Thanks (I think), but I'm going for a more refined look.

Adam,
I will be stopping by Ft Worth Thursday to see your exhibit. I only have time for one location and want to see as many of your images as possible. Is one location going to be better than the other for that, or will you be equally displayed at both?

Joe,
The Arts Center would probably be the best part of the exhibit to see. Let me know what time of day you plan to be here and I'll do my best to meet with you, if my schedule allows for it. Thanks for checking it out. :wavey:
