Folks used to use hot or cold presses and go to a lot of trouble to get a perfectly flat print. Times have changed. Now inkjet prints are treated like like traditional art prints. Many folks simply use acid-free art tape hinges and foam core. Mats are buffered but wooden frames which are a source of lignins are still popular. So what can you do? Rag board still is nicer than wood pulp and shouldn't fade or turn yellow on the bevels as quickly. Keep in mind that it is a lot easier to go back in and repair a print that isn't glued down.
Hey Zack check out "Scotch - Positionable Mounting Adhesive". Comes on a roll in 11" and 16" of wax paper with glue on it. Burnish the glue onto the back of print and pull off wax paper. Works great and I've never had a print pop. The spray adhesives don't won't well enough, when I used it I had to many prints that came loose. I don't hinge prints because I don't like seeing a rippled print under the glass.
