Easy
Just an easy morning in my favorite area near home, Dewatto bay. :) Your comments and critiques are appreciated. I waited for the geese for the shot, not that its great, but with a week off work, it was a nice easy morning and i thought this portrayed the great mood i was in. Lots of beaver ponds in the area, and today i am headed out to hike the trail me and my boy made years ago, clear it up and hit the old rail road tracks that was used for logging the area back in the early 1900's or late 1800's. Hmmm... think i'll take the metal detector along. Canon 5d, 70-200 at 95mm at f/11. :)

This is the same area where the old cabin is, that has had this boat on blocks for a few years now. The first of June is when the Iris's and Daisy's bloom in front of it.

And if you hike the hill above, like where i took the cabin and boat shot, you will find some nice woods where the old Dewatto school stood, which is now gone. This old car is still rusting away in the elements. There is an old homestead a short hike up the canyon, but it has fallen down. Deer city, found deer horns all around this area. These three shots are just a few hundred feet from each other. A public beach just past the cabin, for oysters and clams, the old Dewatto store still stands just between the old cabin and public beach, but is someones private get away now. I posted some pics of old cars and inside of Jerrys barn, and this is where he grew up and went to school, he had some great pictures of the place when the store was still open in the early 1900's. He passed away last year at 94.

These provide a nice sense of this area, Cliff. I like the framing of the leaves in the first shot. Ironically, the geese make it almost too busy. I'd be interested in what others think of that.

Hey Cliff, nice work. I particularly like the last image for the backlight treatment.

The first photo is busy, but I like the peacefulness of it. The house and boat make for an interesting combo.
