Owlets Fledge
The second and younger Great Horned Owlet at Ridfefield NWR, fledged from it's nest yesterday. It's older sibling did the same about last Sunday. I was lucky to get a few closeups as it rested not far from the nest. Based on the fledge date and known specie info, the eggs would been laid about Jan 28, hatched about Feb 24 and this owl now at about 9 1/2 weeks of age.

Nice, Craig. If you can brighten the eyes a tad it will be even better.

This is excellent Craig. I agree with Marylynne about brightening the eyes a bit. Those horns sure do make him look tough!
